What if you stayed behind at the summer camp while some of your friends left?

 

I caught a glimpse of a girl who always smiled crying. “What’s the matter?” I asked her. “My friends are gone…” she said… She is enjoying summer vacation in Greece while participating in a youth sports camp residing in a 4* hotel.

I know in her shoes I would be thrilled and appreciate every moment of it. But, at the tender age of 15 you only wish you have your friends close and being able to extend the good moments to a timeline of a … lifetime.

I told her that she was lucky. When I went on children’s summer camp, I had to wait a whole year to meet my friends. No facebook, no emails, no cell phones. Technology can bring people close. Let’s use it wisely.
